RoofInspections

What is an “independent” roof inspection?

Peak positions itself as a neutral advisor when providing roof inspections. Our objective is to provide you with accurate, actionable, and unbiased knowledge about your roof, empowering you to make the right decision. While many roofing contractors are highly knowledgeable, they are often incentivized to sell repair/replacement services instead of providing a neutral opinion.

Problems Peak has solved

  • Identified a failed section of roofing not visible from the ground and improper repairs to an asphalt shingle roof during a buyer pre-purchase inspection in Westchester County, NY. Advised expected costs to remediate identified problems.
  • Eliminated an asphalt shingle roof as a cause of water entry into a home in Bergen County, NJ, advised the client to retain an indoor environmental consultant who later identified the moisture source to be a plumbing problem.
  • Performed a post-job quality control inspection of an asphalt shingle roof in Ulster County, NY. Created a correction punch list for owner to transmit to installer.
  • Conducted a chimney chase survey on a 6-building, 32-unit condominium complex in Westchester County, NY. Created prioritized list of damages, threats to waterproofing, recommended repairs, and recommended repair methods to association.
  • Rebutted assertions by a homeowner’s insurance inspector about an aged but functional asphalt shingle roof in the Bronx, NY.
