What is an “independent” roof inspection?
Peak positions itself as a neutral advisor when providing roof inspections. Our objective is to provide you with accurate, actionable, and unbiased knowledge about your roof, empowering you to make the right decision. While many roofing contractors are highly knowledgeable, they are often incentivized to sell repair/replacement services instead of providing a neutral opinion.
When is a roof inspection needed?
- Buying, selling, or leasing real estate.
- Property management, especially when capital budgeting/planning is being done.
- During an insurance claim, after storm damage has occurred.
- Before, during, and after a roof replacement project to ensure quality control.
- General maintenance checkups, or after a leak has occurred.

What information does Peak provide?
- Type, style, and material identification.
- Approximate age and remaining expected lifespan.
- Causes and solutions to roof leaks and damage.
- Immediately needed repairs and routine maintenance suggestions.
- Quality control: reviews of workmanship, adherence to building codes, and manufacturer’s installation instructions.
- Storm damage remediation protocols and cost estimates.
- Repair/replacement cost budgeting.
- Reviews of contractors’ proposals for appropriateness and whether prices are close to market averages.
